Complexe, elegante wijn. Rijp rood fruit, drop, mineralen, een vleugje kruiden, "pain grillé en mooie, goed geïntegreerde tannines. Lange afdronk.
Op dronk, maar kan zich tot 2022 nog verder ontwikkelen

The Wine Advocate:

"The second year of the Tempranillo produced without any added sulfur, the 2016 Allende Nature was produced with grapes picked from October 22nd, quite late, from the Finca Las Cuestas de Valpierre, from trellised vines planted 30 years ago on gravel and clay soils. The destemmed, uncrushed grapes fermented in stainless steel vats at 28 degrees Celsius for 16 days and had three daily pump-overs. It matured in American oak barrels for five months. It's the darkest of all the reds and also has dark aromas of ripe black fruit, licorice and something earthy and faintly animal, hinting of vegetable coal. The palate has abundant, dusty tannins with some rusticity, juicy fruit and some spicy tones."
