Zeer goede prijs- kwaliteitverhouding.
Gerijpt op Frans eiken.
Goed op dronk, maar kan zich tenminste tot 2021 nog verder ontwikkelen.

"The sparkling Clàssic Penedès 2015 Refugi, a brut nature that is completely dry, is the first wine they produced after five generations growing grapes in a haven (refugi in Catalan) in the middle of their vineyards. It's mostly Xarello with 10% Chardonnay, part fermented in new 500-liter French oak barrels and then refermented in bottle, where it was kept with the lees for a minimum of 20 months. It has a nice balance between fruit and more developed aromas and flavors of spice and yeast, and it has a balanced, tasty palate with integrated bubbles. Easy to drink. 

Loxarel produces still and sparkling wines from their 40 hectares of vineyards in Penedès, including a most amazing sparkling wine sold with the lees (without disgorgement), no less than 109 months after it's put in bottle! A total of 250,000 bottles per vintage are spread over a very wide portfolio that can be confusing and seems to be ever changing. I prefer the sparkling and whites over the reds (which are a minority anyway)."
