95% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano.
Luis Canas Reserva onderging 18 maanden rijping op Frans en Amerikaans eiken en 12 maanden flesrijping.
Op dronk, maar kan zich tenminste tot 2025 nog verder ontwikkelen.
"Bodegas Luis Canas owns 90 hectares of vine. This is augmented by 200 hectares under long-term contract, dispersed over 815 parcels. These wines were imbued with wonderful purity and sophistication, managing to tread that fine line between modernism and classicism and embracing the virtues from the two. Moreover, I found that these wines evoked a sense of place, something that not all Rioja wines do. These all comes highly recommended. "
The Wine Advocate:
"The Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo with 5% Graciano, matured in used oak barrels for 18 months—12 months in French barriques and the following six in American ones. There are notes of smoked meat and some balsamic aromas, cigar ash and incense. It's very approachable and polished with contained ripeness."
